Cotati Dog Training's mission is to give dog owners a clear path forward in their training journey while building strong and loving bonds in the process.
We can foster better relationships with our dogs by creating relationship-based training strategies, establishing clear communication systems and methods, and understanding how dogs think and experience their world.
Meet the Trainer
Helen Crosby has been training dogs since 2011. She is a Fear-Free Certified Trainer and a member of The Association of Pet Dog Training International (APDT). She is routinely referred by the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter in Rohnert Park, California to provide in-home support and training for new dog adopters.
Additionally, Cotati Dog Training partners with the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter's Pawsitive Solutions Training Program where is regularly called upon to assist people experiencing severe behavioral challenges with their dogs, and surrender may seem like the only option. By identifying potential solutions and implementing effective protocols, she helps keep many dogs from being surrendered.

Helen regularly attends seminars to stay current on the latest scientific research and behavioral studies on the most effective and humane dog training methods.

Mentored by internationally renowned trainers recognized for their expertise in progressive, humane dog training methods; Helen brings a game-based approach to training—one that is gentle, effective, and fun for both the dogs and their families.

Her canine companions include Bee, a Belgian Malinois, and Casper, a chocolate Labrador Retriever, she also shares her home with three wonderful cats.
